Farm Progress Show

This post is going up late I have been having issues with my computer and being able to post so I am sorry there has been no content and that this is so late.

We traveled to Northern Il. for the Half Century of Progress Farm show a few weekends back and here are some of the things that we saw.

This american Flag is the worlds largest american flag and it travels all over the United States to be displayed.  It is very amazing to see and has to be held up by two large cranes.

The farm progress show here displays the way things we done in the early years.  Here they did field demonstrations on the equipment.  There was even horses there that pulled plows and hay rakes and other things like that.  The older equipment that they showed off included combines, corn pickers, hay rakes, plows, and disk.  There was tractors of all kinds.  John Deere, International, Case, AC, Sears and Roebucks, and lots more.  They even had a steam engine that pulled a plow.  All of this is so neat to see.  It is located on a old Air Force Base and spans about 400 acers.  It is to much to try to walk.  They do have tractors with wagons that they take people in to see or you are welcome to bring in a ride such as a gator, ranger golf cart, ect.  It cost a small fee to take it in but was well work it.  I put together a vlog of the things we have seen and I will link it here for you. VLOG LINK   Also below is some of the pictures that I took while I was there.  Sorry there is a lot
